Wait, what?

Boy. What a freaking week. The plan: Mommy travels Sunday to Tuesday evening. Daddy travels Tuesday morning to Thursday afternoon. Showcase at school Thursday evening. We made it to Wednesday evening before everything went to s**t. Daddy came home early with a cough. Thursday morning he was diagnosed with the flu. Thursday evening school is canceled Friday and Monday due to illness. Mommy still has to work and keep me and the little human away from flu germs. If she and I make it out of this it will be a miracle.

Compared to others, he got off easy. He hasn't had a fever since late Friday, early Saturday which means he shouldn't be contagious anymore and I allowed him out of the realm (the basement). Oy.

Alas, we move on.

Wednesday Nora celebrated her first 100 days of school. She has crotchety old broad nailed. We're on the backside of Kindergarten now - I'm not sure how this is possible. We've started talking to her about 1st grade and what that will be like - wait, what???
Apparently, a friend from school taught her to tie her shoes. She came home one day and just did it. Wait, what?

Friday we had to get out of the house. She wanted to be fancy - so she presented herself in her Christmas dress, bracelets and make-up. Cool. We did our favorite things - Target, cheese dip and Jeni's.

Let's hope this week is a little easier.
