Peachy Time
It's been a great great week! No major developments, other then continuing to talk. We headed home for the annual Peach Festival. The drive was great, the visit was, um, HOT. It was all just fantastic. I'll narrate as we go through the pictures.
Holly, she can finally wear the pink sparkly Chuck's (see below). Still a little big, but she loves them and wants to wear them all the time.
"Oh, hi."
So, here's a lovely illustration of her putting her babies to bed (face down). She's graduated from Wet Wipes and has moved onto any sort of fabric. Blankets, dresses, shirts, bibs... I mean, she's innovative, right?
My 26-month-old wearing a 9-12 month dress... as a shirt. But, wearing it nonetheless. Geez.
I love this picture. Look at the eye-to-eye with her teacher, Ms. Cassidy.
"Cheeeeese."
Reading to her "people."
Play-Doh.
On to the weekend and travels to Alabama. We got to town just in time to meet PawPaw and walk over to the Peach Jam. It was HOT as blazes. We lasted as long as possible.
We were up and ready to go Saturday morning to the Peach Parade. I was so excited this year, since I figured she would FINALLY figure out this candy thing. And so she did. Here we are, patiently waiting. Her outfit is courtesy of Sissy (my mom - formerly known as Gram - she's had a name change). This was actually the Peach outfit she wore last year.
And... her loot.
We walked over to the Peach Auction after the parade. This wasn't the winning basket - but this shows the size of the peaches this year. Softballs, they were. The winning basket sold for $4,500. No, I didn't accidentally type too many zero's.
We got out of the heat for nap, then played with PawPaw's new kitty, Ester. Nora was a fan. Too bad Mommy's allergic to kitty's or PawPaw would have been shy a cat.
We love Harper.
Fun times with Aunt Char - despite the look on Nora's face. Never cooperating.
We got up bright and early Sunday to head home... Stopping really quick at the produce stand by our house. The charm of a small town in the country... you paid on the honor system. Bonus points for the Knight's being our neighbors. Is that considered double local?

Then we went to play with Aunt Char and our friends Leah, Shane and Harper. It was a big fun time. We ate yummy fresh-picked blueberries and played in the pool. And even attempted jumping off the diving board. She was all in, until she lost her balance.
Convo's with Char.
Pool diva.We love Harper.

We also got a quick stop at Cracker Barrel in Calera. I'm excited to report a GREAT dining experience. She's always been good at eating out - but it's usually a really quick meal. Today, we were waiting on her to finish. She even ate off her own "real" plate. Not a plastic mat and not a plastic plate. HOORAY!
Man. Mommy and Daddy need a nap. Until next week....

She is super cute, as always! Too bad it is so dang hot out right now!
