hello 4 months!

Munchkin will be 4 months old on Thursday - WHAT???

According to WebMD.com, at 4 months, the little lady should be:

• More dexterous and doing more with her hands. Check, check.... she wants to touch everything (not that she does, but she tries). She grabs things with both hands and tries to examine them (see post from 2 weeks ago). She's grabbing her feet and pulling them towards her mouth (insert sarcastic "awesome"). Definitely grabbing my hair with the death grip. I'm pretty sure she was trying to put my face in her mouth today! Oh, and she's trying to help with her bottle (this isn't staged, I swear. it was just happenstance).

• Should be enjoying a full night's sleep. For the most part. We'll just round up on this one and call it a day

• Lighter colored eyes can start changing colors, We'll see what happens. Her eyes have only gotten a lighter blue since she was born. They should mostly be settled by 6 months, so we'll see what happens.

• They begin learning to be effective communicators. Yep. coos, oohs and aahs, squeals, gurgles and laughter. It's really cute and definitely makes us chuckle.

Other milestones and fun things:
• She continues to roll. She rolled over on Saturday and simultaneously propped up on an elbow and let out a yell, as if she were celebrating her accomplishment. That was all followed by crying because she had gotten to her stomach, but didn't know what to do next.

• She hosted her first Fantasy Football draft. She feels good about her odds.

• She can sit up well in your lap and hold herself and her head up. She's almost sitting in her Bumpo - I mean she can sit in it now, but she starts to slump after a couple minutes. You can also have her lying on her back, pull her arms and she can pull her head up. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's definitely getting easier to move her around.

• She's killin' it in her saucer. If this isn't intensity, I don't know what is. She really wants it to bounce, but her legs aren't quite long enough to be really effective, so she just stomps her feet. {Whatever makes her happy.}

• As I've said before, she really loves the jumper at Miss Pat's. Since we don't have one - we have to turn on manual, which means Mommy and Daddy have be jumpers. She loves it and we don't mind.

Thursday we go to our 4-month check-up. YAY and BOO. YAY because we get measurements, weigh-in and hopefully the discussion of starting some solid food. BOO because there are shots involved:/
