Happy Father's Day, Daddy
While she doesn't fully understand the day we celebrate Daddy, I certainly do. And man. I completely hit the baby daddy jackpot. A Daddy who has been in it since day one. Changing the diapers, getting up in the night while I pumped, so he could go ahead and feed her and we could get back to sleep. Insisting on going halfsies for pick-up and drop-off for school. Wanting to be a part of everything she does in her little life. I don't think he fully realizes the foundation he has laid - but no one will every be as good as "Daddy." It's a beautiful thing to see.
About our week. Well, on the high note the tantrums were slightly less. Fergie has apparently been slightly less offensive. The downside, we've found a couple of triggers - cartoons being turned off and being told "no" to M&Ms. We laid the law down on both not being appropriate times to throw a tantrum. GGGRRRRR.
Monday was a big day. She had her first dentist appointment. She did great. Dentists have come a long way, folks. This is her doctor, Dr. Walters. She, along with her hygienist was pure magic.
Water play day - always a hit. She was walking around the house at 5:30 am with her swimsuit on.
The amount of "ttude and defiance living in this being... it's record breaking.
A source of entertainment the majority of the time. But sh excels most at testing her limits.
We had some to play in the water on Saturday. The fun ended with Mommy and Nora dumping water on each other. It was refreshing:)
Nora was very excited about, yet, another holiday - she likes to celebrate. We had dinner with friends at Bavarian Bierhaus - which included a live polka band. Half pint LOVED it! She danced and clapped and was completely entertained.
We made lunch for Daddy today. I think she ate more macaroni and cheese than made it in the pot.
So. I would like for you to take some time and watch this, this and this. It's hard to describe these rants she goes on, but they are HYSTERICAL.
