Merry 2nd Christmas, Y'all!

Oy. I do love the holidays, but, wow... this year near about did me in. My desire for perfection, combined with family in town and hosting, combined with only being in our home for four weeks... Well, you can imagine. I was a little off my game, but it was a fabulous week.

This is gonna be a big one, so from the top...

Words of the week:
"up" - translates to "pick my up NOW!"
"eeros" - translates to "Cheerios."

Combos of the week:
"hello. bye. bye."
"bye. bye. night. night."
"Caillou, watch."

She got to spend Christmas with all her grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. It was amazing. The weather was great too, so we got LOTS of "'side" time.

Gram from Texas arrived on Tuesday, PawPaw from Alabama arrived on Christmas Eve. North Carolina aunts, uncles and cousins got here on Tuesday as well.

We had her school Christmas party on Tuesday. There were donuts.

Wednesday we finished up shopping with Gram AND went to the park.

Christmas Eve service at Life.Church Hendersonville with the Grandmothers, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Andy and the cousins. We did a little baking that evening - raw sugar cookie dough - yep, she liked that a whole bunch.

Christmas morning was a blur...

We spent Christmas afternoon with Farmer's family.

Day after Christmas we had Christmas with my brother, Aunt Liz and her mom and grandmother - as well as Gram and PawPaw, followed by a walk to the park.

We had a great visit from our BFF's Adam and Marissa and my goddaughter, Eva and her sister Lydia. We had quite the adventure with the Ferg's Great Escape. Literally, we thought she was gone. Farmer took off into the woods behind our house and found her tracking some deer up on the ridge. I may never forgive her. These ladies live in the woods behind our house.

Long story short, it was a great, wonderfully exhausting week. Can't wait to do it again next year!
