Mother's Day - yay.
In all honesty, I struggle daily with exactly what I have learned from being a mom. This little girl has brought to life a part of me I never knew existed.
You might remember a few weeks back when we went to the Buttercup Festival. While there, we met some great folks with a petting farm and learned they were having a Mother's Day Brunch. Pam and I decided that's what we wanted for Mother's Day - to take the kids to the farm. On Saturday, we spent the morning doing just that. It was such a great time. We feed and petted the animals, we played and planted flowers. Most importantly, we spent a great morning with one another.
She loved the goats and sheep. She would walk up to one, bend over and wave to them in their face and say, "hello Mr. Goat," "hello Mr. Sheep."
They also had a splash pad. Every time the water sprayed, she threw her arms in the air. She loved it... but dared not run through it... only around it.
They also had a big slide that she got her daddy to take her on. Pretty sure we had more fun than she did. After this particular ride, you see she has no smile and simply said, "yay." No excitement. Just. "Yay."

After a long day (and a 3 hour nap), we met up with friends for dinner. This is little Miss with her bud. He's a few years older and thinks she's just baby and no fun. She, on the other hand, LOVES him. Like, says and does everything he does.
Great service at church!
Sunday afternoon we met Grandma at Centennial Park to feed the ducks, then off to dinner.

We think she liked the PB&J (Photos courtesy of Grandma).
