When Mommy and Daddy are away...
they don't talk about the little person when they get home!!! Mommy and Daddy blog takeover...
Happy Birthday to Mommy!!! We took a trip to New Orleans for the weekend. I hadn't been in probably 15 years (pre-Katrina) and had never seen New Orleans outside of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Shameful, for sure. The city is really awesome. We stayed in the West Riverside area near Audobon Park. The home had to have been 115 years old - a good classic shotgun. I let pictures tell the rest of the story...
Walked to the local coffee shop then over to Audobon Park.
We walked 30,000 steps on Friday - about 13 miles total. Strolled down Magazine St. and into the French Quarter for dinner and drinks.
Saturday we decided to try our hands on the streetcar. #1 adventure on our trip!
Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone - the bar literally rotated! Tried to capture it moving.
Beignets to Cafe Beignet then over to the riverwalk to lay our eyes on the Mississippi!
Oldest bar in the country.
Checking out Lafayette Cemetery - where Lizzie was bitten by a black cat. We're not sure if she's possessed or not:)
Nora stayed with Sissy, so I won't leave you high and dry:) Swim, swim and popping packing bubbles.

More oysters - I'm not sure how many we ate. The shuckers were amazing.... dude on the right - would flip them across the bar.
Our street at night...
The end. We logged almost 25 miles in 2.5 days. My legs are sore and my body is tired. But it was fantastic - spending the weekend with some of my favorite people.
