Valentime's

Happy "Valentime's" Week!

We painted and decorated hearts at the Art & Invention Gallery. My takeaway - while she's crazy creative - she has her limits - too many options and she shuts down. After she got her jewels and sequins on, she looked at me and said, "Mommy this isn't pretty and no one will like..." she then grabbed a paper towel and wiped everything off and then told us she was ready to go home.

On the way home (which was less than a 10-minute drive), I was asking her about school and what happened that she enjoyed - from there she went into this story about kings and queens, every question I asked, she had an answer. As we're turning into the driveway, she ended the whole story with, "and then we went back to my classroom with Miss Lauren." Way to tie it up with a bow, kid. Guys, she rambled on for 10 solid minutes.
And there were surprises on Thursday morning.
 Friday's are for Happy Hours:)
Saturday she spent time with Grandma and got to explore the Adventure Science Center - either she's not old enough or she's zero interested. Pictures coming.

Farmer and I celebrated Valentine's a little different this year. We hiked at Edwin Warner - then off to our favorite joints - McCabe Pub, Corner Pub and Fat Bottom Brewery. We were in bed by 9.
Today she had a playdate with our neighbor. I got a text about 2 things. One, she made up this story about Fergie being dead and that she had gotten a new puppy. Too which her friend got really stressed out because she wasn't able to see her one more time. The second story was hysterical. It went something like this:
Nora went into their kitchen and told the mom that her friend was being too loud.
Mom says, "well, why don't you sit on the other end of the couch."
Nora went back to the room and told her friend that her "mommy said for her to go to her room."
When the mom questioned Nora and stated that's not what she had said,
Nora simply says, "well, you should have."
Guys, I can't make it up.
