Week of firsts
We had a big week of firsts for the little lady...
Which was great... because, in case you haven't watched the news in the past two weeks, it's been a bit, um, soggy here. Cabin fever is an understatement. We were really getting tired of the rainy days.

For our Nashville friends, you all know the love (or obsession) we have for the "cheese beans" at Corner Pub... well, we found Oklahoma City's version at S&B Burger Joint - the "cheese cube." We are proud to announce that Nora has had her first cheese cube. She doesn't know how lucky she is:)
Our favorite pastime these days is opening and closing the door. I don't know... we just go with it. Check it out.
It's been fun (and challenging) making food for her. We want her to eat what we eat, which is great, except we want everything doused in hot sauce and jalapeno's... so, learning to tone it down a bit has been a challenge. We've discovered that we haven't found a fruit she doesn't like. But we haven't found a vegetable that she does. She likes chicken, shrimp, pork chops and meatballs. And ravioli. Which is great... because it was filled with spinach... SUCKER!! Mommy/Daddy = 1 / Nora = 100.

We were out and about yesterday and in one store they had this little rocking chair. She saw a little boy in it and couldn't stop staring... so, when we was done, she took her seat. #lovedit

She had her first hibachi experience this weekend celebrating our friend, Amanda's, birthday. She ate her weight in edamame (and pooped it out in whole chunks today)... had some rice, mushrooms and shrimp.

And today... the finale... we visited the Uptown 23rd Farmers' Market in, well, the uptown area of OKC. I was beside myself when I saw the petting farm.... AAAHHHH. We got to go in and she got to see a little piggy, some bunnies and sheep. The smile on her face was priceless.
I want to close out this week just saying what a complete joy this little human is. As we put her to bed tonight we both hugged her and kissed her and told her how much we loved her and what a big girl she was becoming. She had just rocked out a 2.5 hour dinner with our friends and except for the last 30 minutes... she totally owned it. She sat at the table and ate her dinner and smiled and laughed. It was pure joy. Hopefully, this is a habit:) She's a keeper.

Spinach?!?! Score! You guys do such a great job exposing her to "real" life. She will be such a fun companion (hopefully)! :)
